Needle & Thread Fun Fold Card - April Big Shot Class

Hello everyone!  Here is a pretty fun fold card we are making at my Big Shot Class this month featuring the Needle & Thread Bundle (Needle & Thread Stamp Set and Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies).  Unfortunately this bundle is retiring soon so hope you can make it to my class to learn how cool it is!

I paired it with other products from the Needlepoint Nook Suite in the Occasions Catalog.  The Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper is amazing!  It offers photographic imagery of hand-stitched embroidery and richly colored, beautifully detailed designs.

The Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies offer a variety of die-cutting pieces and one beautiful stitched floral design which is very unique and adds a nice hand-stitched image on your project.

You can actually see the stitched image on the back of front flap when the card is open.  It's very pretty!

Fable Friends Easter Fun Fold Card & Sweet Cup

Happy Easter everyone!  Hope you are having a wonderful Easter Sunday!  Here are adorable Easter Fun Fold Card and Sweet Cup featuring the Fable Friends Stamp Set from my recent workshops.  These are easy and fun to make!

To color this cute bunny I used Stampin' Blends Markers (Light Crumb Cake, Light Pumpkin Pie, Light Flirty Flamingo).  The small flowers are made using the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack.

The grass image is from the Home to Roost Stamp Set in the 2019 Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  I just have to say there is something about this grass stamp..... It's pretty cool!!!

We made this Easter Sweet Cup at my 10th Anniversary Open House a few weeks ago and was popular!  To figure out paper size for the cup, I took apart one cup and traced it around on a scrap paper.  I added 1/2" to one end for my template and tested it around a cup.  I made some adjustments till I was happy for a perfect fit.  I then traced it onto a heavier paper (I just used a backing material which comes with a pack of designer series paper) to be used as a template at my workshop.

The Bitty Blooms Punch Pack is a set of four small punches including flower center and leaf shapes to complete your flowers.  I find it handy to have!  You can create cute flowers and leaves in a snap using them.  It is unfortunately retiring so grab it before its gone!

One of my favorite Sale-A-Bration products this year was the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper.   I particularly loved to pair that mushroom design paper with the bunny!  So cute!!!

Layering Alphabet Easter Scrapbook

Hello everyone!  Here is a fun scrapbook we made at my recent workshop featuring the Fable Friends Stamp Set in the Occasions Catalog.  I love this stamp set!!!  Ever since I saw it in the Occasions Catalog for the first time, I couldn't wait to get it!!!  Sounds familiar?

The bunny is so adorable!  I have made several projects using this stamp set and will share them here on my blog this week.  So stay tuned!
Here is another sample I made using Highland Heather for my class.  The blue one is using Balmy Blue.  They are both so pretty and perfectly paired with the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper.

Let's talk about the base of this scrapbook.  I used the Layering Alphabet Edgelits to make the first six pages (Easter) and the last page is a piece of 4-1/4" x 11" card stock (Highland Heather/Balmy Blue).

Paper Measurements (Whisper White Thick Card Stock used) for the first 6 pages before die cutting:

  • Letter e (Cover Page):  4-1/4" x 7-7/8"
  • Letter a:  4-1/4" x 8-1/2"
  • Letter s:  4-1/4" x 9-1/8"
  • Letter t:  4-1/4" x 9-3/4"
  • Letter e:  4-1/4" x 10-3/8"
  • Letter r:  4-1/4" x 11"
Here is a great video from Stampin' Up! to show you how to use the Layering Alphabet Edgelits:

After die cutting these pages, I used the Stamparatus and the Imaging Sheet from the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (currently available on Clearance Rack) to perfectly stamp each letter.

Here is how I used the Imaging Sheet with the Stamparatus:
  1. Position your stamp on the Stamparatus plate.  Make sure to place it where your page will nicely stay on the Stamparatus base.
  2. Insert the Imaging Sheet on the Stamparatus base making sure that your Imaging Sheet is inserted all the way into the corner so that it will not move.
  3. Ink your letter and then stamp directly on your Imaging Sheet.
  4. Remove your Imaging Sheet and place your page on the Stamparatus base and bring your Imaging Sheet back to align the stamp with your letter.
  5. Remove your Imaging Sheet carefully and secure your page with magnets.
  6. Ink your stamp and carefully stamp on your letter.

Beauty Abounds Bendi Card Trio - April Card Club

Hello everyone!  I have a very special card to share with you today.  This is one of the cards we are making at my Card Club this month.  It is called a Bendi Card.  I've seen several versions of a Bendi Card lately and I thought it was time for me to give it a try!  To be honest, I didn't know what a Bendi Card was so I researched and watched some video tutorials.  Then I came across to a gorgeous card created by Charlet Mallett (click HERE to see her card).  I knew I had to try her card!!!  After casing her card, I made some changes to mine to make it work better for my workshops because it has many critical steps that need to be done together in my class and also how much material I had in stock to make enough kits for my workshops.

Basically a Bendi Card has two front flaps that open and interlock to create a rounded bend fold.  It can be closed flat and mailed in a standard envelope.  For my card I changed the card base size to 4" x 5-1/2".

For my front flaps I used the Crackle Paint Background Stamp to add a soft pink color image (Powder Pink ink used here) since my butterfly die-cuts are made with 2 layers of Shimmery White Card Stock.  I thought I needed to add a little bit of soft color in the background.

Can you believe this card can be flat and put in an envelope?  Notice that my butterfly die-cuts are very dimensional.  I only applied a tiny bit of the Tombow Liquid Glue to the center of each butterfly so that the top wings can be lifted up to make them more dimensional.

This shows how you can open the front right panel and how the front left panel interlocks to the card base.

And here is a small section for a special message!
