Cauldron Bubble Halloween Card - September Card Club

Hello Stampers!  Here is one of the cards we made at my Card Club in September featuring the Cauldron Bubble Bundle.  I love the Toil & Trouble Suite products in the new Holiday Catalog.  The colors are bright and images are so darn cute!

My choice to color these adorable stamp images are using the Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers.  Coloring is not really my favorite thing to do but I found it's easier and forgiven when using these Stampin' Blends.  No harsh marks left!!!  Love it!

The colorful background card stock (Gorgeous Grape, 4" x 5-1/4") is embossed with the Woodland Embossing Folder.  I am not a fan of adhering a piece of paper over the embossed surface so I carefully inserted my Gorgeous Grape Card Stock leaving about 2-1/2" out of the embossing folder.  You can adhere your pattern paper (2" x 4") onto your Gorgeous Grape Card Stock before running through your Big Shot so that you know where to emboss.

To color my cute ghost I colored the entire image using the Smokey Slate Light Stampin' Blends and then immediately went back with the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends to take away some of the Smokey Slate color.  You need to do this very quickly in a small circular motion while it is still wet.  I love this technique!

Supply List
Stamps - Cauldron Bubble
Paper - Basic Black, Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper, Black Foil Sheets
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

One Sheet Wonder Under the Mistletoe DSP - Card 2

Hello Stampers!  Today I am sharing another card from my One Sheet Wonder post (if you missed it, click HERE).

One Sheet Wonder Pattern Layout (12" x 12")
Pattern Measurements:

  • Card 1 (2 pieces) - 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Card 2 (2 pieces) - 4" x 5-1/4" (cut diagonally to make 2 pieces)
  • Card 3 (3 pieces) - 3" x 4"
  • Card 4 (3 pieces) - 1-1/4" x 4" (use all 3 pieces to make one card)
  • Card 5 (4 pieces) - 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" (use all 4 pieces to make one card)
  • Card 6 (2 pieces) - 1-1/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Card 7 (1 piece) - 2-1/2" x 4

Card 2
Card 2 - Celebrate the Season
This card was created using one of the Card 2 pieces (4" x 5-1/4", cut diagonally to make 2 pieces).  I used my favorite stamp set called Floral Frames in the 2018-2019 Annual Book to stamp the frame image.  This stamp works well with the coordinating Foliage Frame Framelits Dies and both of them are available as a bundle (SAVE 10%).

This card is so simple and easy to put together.  Just follow these steps:

  1. Fold Real Red Cardstock (5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4") in half to create card base.
  2. Adhere one of the Card 2 DSP pieces on your card base with Snail Adhesive.
  3. Stamp the frame image from the Floral Frames Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock.  Color the leaves with Old Olive Stampin' Blends Marker.
  4. Stamp "Celebrate the Season" from the Mistletoe Season Stamp Set in Real Red Ink on the stamped frame piece.
  5. Cut out the stamped frame image using the coordinating frame die from the Foliage Frame Framelits.
  6. Die cut leaves from the Foliage Frame Framelits Dies and adhere them on your card front as shown.  I used Old Olive and Shaded Spruce Cardstock.
  7. Adhere the frame diecut on your card front with Dimensionals.

One Sheet Wonder Under the Mistletoe DSP - Card 1 and Stamparatus Tip Video

Have you tried the One Sheet Wonder technique?  It has become very popular.  It's a great way to make some fun cards using a 12" x 12" piece of Designer Series Paper.  Super easy and quick!!!

I came up with this pattern for one of my monthly clubs a few months ago.  Since our workshop was going to be held at a local restaurant and I needed to keep the layout for 6-7 cards to be done in the workshop with some extra pieces to be finished at home.  So you can actually make 12 cards out of one 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper using this pattern.

Pattern Measurements:

  • Card 1 (2 pieces) - 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Card 2 (2 pieces) - 4" x 5-1/4" (cut diagonally to make 2 pieces)
  • Card 3 (3 pieces) - 3" x 4"
  • Card 4 (3 pieces) - 1-1/4" x 4" (use all 3 pieces to make one card)
  • Card 5 (4 pieces) - 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" (use all 4 pieces to make one card)
  • Card 6 (2 pieces) - 1-1/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Card 7 (1 piece) - 2-1/2" x 4

Today I am sharing a card made using Card 1 piece (4" x 5-1/4") as shown above from the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.

Stamparatus Tip Video!!!
I made a quick video to show you how I used my BF Stamparatus to perfectly align stamp images and also stamped more than one stamp images at once quickly and precisely.  So easy!!!

Supply List
Stamps - Mistletoe Season
Paper - Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Under the Mistletoe DSP
Ink - Real Red, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz
Tools and Accessories - Stamparatus
