Hey Love Alligator Happy Birthday Card

Hi there!  I am back with another project using my favorite Hey Love Stamp Set.  I made a cute birthday card this time.  I paired it with the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper in the Occasions Catalog.  This paper pack offers bold and bright florals on the front, and all-purpose patterns on the back.  It makes very versatile for any occasion and I love the bright colors!

I played around with different sizes of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits for the layers.  The Rectangle Stitched Framelits are absolutely my ultimate favorite framelits that Stampin' Up! has ever introduced!!!  By the way, did you know the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Set is available as a bundle with the Amazing Life Stamp Set?  I happen to like this stamps set and was glad to take the 10% off together!  Thank you Stampin' Up!!!

Humming Along Birthday Card

Hello everyone!  Here is a gorgeous card I CASED from the Occasions Catalog featuring the Humming Along Bundle (see page 36).  Isn't it pretty?  Ever since I saw the card in the catalog, I wanted to make it!!!

To color my hummingbird I started with Stampin' Blends (Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Mossy Meadow, Pumpkin Pie) and then finished with Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils to do some detailed artwork.  I love how it turned out!

I took a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Watercolor Paper and created a wash effect with my Aqua Painter and Balmy Blue Ink.  I let it dry before I ran it through on my Big Shot with the Zigzag design die from the Hummingbird Framelits.   I added some sequins and Old Olive Linen Thread to dress it up as a final touch!!!

Supply List
Stamps - Hummingbird Along
Paper - Whisper White, Balmy Blue, Whisper White Thick, Watercolor Paper
Ink - Memento Black, Basic Gray, Balmy Blue
Tools and Accessories - Stampin' Blends (Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Mossy Meadow, Pumpkin Pie), Watercolor Pencils, Aqua Painter, Old Olive Linen Thread, Iridescent Sequins

So Hoppy Together Simple Note Card - January Card Club

Hello everyone!  Here is a simple and easy note card we are making at my Card Club this month featuring the So Hoppy Together Stamp Set and Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. Isn't it so cute?

To make this card I simply stamped the image in Memento Black on a stitched rectangle die-cut and colored it with Stampin' Blends (Granny Apple Green and Smoky Slate).  This piece is layered with a larger stitched rectangle die-cut.  I embellished it with some leftover hearts from another project.  Super easy and quick!

For this design I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Blushing Bride card stock and ran it through on my Big Shot using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.  I just loved the stitched accent on the heart die!

The butterfly stamp is also from the So Hoppy Together Stamp Set and I colored it with Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends.

Using a pack of Stampin' Up! Note Cards and Envelopes makes card making easy and affordable.  To dress up my envelope, I adhered an adorable frog patterned paper from Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper, which was offered in the Holiday Catalog, to the envelope flap with Tombow Liquid Glue.  To do this just cut out your patterned paper a little bit larger than your envelope flap and adhere with Tombow Liquid Glue.  Simply trim off the excess using your scissors.

Supply List
Stamps - So Hoppy Together
Paper - Whisper White, Smokey Slate, Blushing Bride, Botanical Butterfly DSP, Note Cards & Envelopes, Toil and Trouble DSP, Lovely Lipstick Foils Sheets
Ink - Memento Black
Tools and Accessories - Stampin' Blends (Granny Apple Green, Smoky Slate, Pumpkin Pie)
Big Shot - Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Rectangles Stitched Framelits

Balmy Blue Gingham Butterfly Gala Thank You Card

Hello everyone!  Here is a simple and easy card featuring the Gingham Gala Suite products in the Occasions Catalog.  I love the new Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper!  It's great for any occasion and the colors (Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist, and Whisper White) are so pretty.

Let's talk about my card front.  When designing this card, I wanted to use a piece of Balmy Blue Gingham DSP for the card front but also wanted to adhere an embossed layer used with the Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder on top.  Instead of covering the majority of Balmy Blue Gingham DSP (being a little bit conservative), I die cut a 4 1/4"x 5 1/2" piece of Balmy Blue Gingham DSP with the largest Rectangle Stitched Framelits, and then adhered the outer piece of the die cut right onto my Balmy Blue card base.  The Rectangle Stitched Framelits give you a double border of stitched design meaning you get a stitched border on both of your die cut pieces.  I'm saving the other piece for another project!

How about the new Butterfly Gala Stamp Set?  To be honest with you it took me some effort to convince myself why I needed another butterfly stamp set:-). But I'm glad that I got it along with the Butterfly Duet Punch.  Possibilities are endless with the stamp set and having the punch makes it so easy to punch them out.  Did you know the Butterfly Duet Punch coordinates with the gorgeous Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper which is featured in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure this year?  It is absolutely pretty!!!

Supply List
Stamps - Butterfly Gala
Paper - Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper
Ink - Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray
Tools and Accessories - Butterfly Duet Punch, Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack (Sale-A-Bration)
Big Shot - Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder, Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies

Hello everyone!  I can't seem to stay away from the Hey Love Stamp Set!!!  I absolutely LOVE it!!!  These pillow box treat holders are easy to make using Stampin' Up! Kraft Pillow Boxes (#147018, page 193). They are printed with white dots.  Super cute!!!

Kraft Pillow Boxes (#147018, $5.00)

To make a pillow box into a treat holder, I used one of the Layering Oval Framelits for the opening.  You can run it through on your Big Shot but I suggest to run it a few times because you are cutting double thickness of material.  I also used two other oval framelits from the Layering Oval Framelits to embellish the sentiment tag.

Aren't they so cute???  I'm not sure which one is my favorite!!!

Monthly Kit Club - Spots available!  Contact me TODAY!
At my monthly kit club I enjoy offering a different type of project each month.  It used to be a monthly Scrapbooking Club but now we enjoy making projects using kits.  What we do is our hostess gets to pick a project for her month.  So sometimes we make cards or different kinds of memory keeping projects (traditional scrapbooking, mini-album, and so forth).  We have done making an album using the Memories & More Card Packs and 6" x 8" Albums.

My monthly Kit Club workshops are held at my studio located in Sequim, WA.  Enjoy looking at my projects and product display and be inspired!  It's so fun to be creative with your friends and family!   I offer special benefits to my club members too.  Or join us whenever you can as a guest when space is available!
