Scrapbook Explosion Purse

While I was working on a project for my monthly Scrapbooking Club workshop today, I came across with this project we did earlier this year in my club.  This project was so popular among my non-club members as well so I did a class for this project plus two unique cards (Tri-Shutter and Never-Ending Card).  It was fun.

When opened, you have some space for photos, journals, embellishments, and etc.  The Designer Series Paper used here is discontinued but you can easily use any patterned paper you have.  I think I am going to make one for Christmas.  Hmmm...Stay tuned!

Stitched Stockings Christmas Card - Wild Wasabi

I really like to use Wild Wasabi with Cherry Cobbler for Christmas Cards this year especially with the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper.  We made this card at my Holiday Open House but we used Cherry Cobbler card stock for card base because I didn't have enough Wild Wasabi in 12" x 12" for my guests.  I really wanted to use Wild Wasabi but you know sometimes we have to go with a "Plan B".  Right???

Supply List
Stamps - Stitched Stockings, Bright Hopes, Petite Pairs
Paper - Wild Wasabi Textured, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP, Red Glimmer Paper
Ink - Wild Wasabi, Cherry Cobbler
Punches - Stocking Builder, 1-3/4" Circle, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle, Decorative Label
Tools and Accessories - Paper-Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Dimensionals
Big Shot - Snow Burst Embossing Folder

Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday but I'm so excited to tell you what happened.  The night my "wonderful" husband helped me with the Reindeer Cellophane Bag Treats in my stamping studio, I told him I really would love to have some storage space there.  I had one section that had a 8 foot long folding table right next to a small refrigerator to place some cups, plates, food, displays and etc.  It was okay for time being but I really wanted to utilize the space underneath.  He "sort of" understood my needs and told me to look into what we could do.  I really wanted to tell him that I already knew what I wanted right then but our conversation ended for the night.

So yesterday afternoon I asked him if we could go to a local store to "look".  We ended up finding something we both liked there and quickly came home so that we could pick up our kids at their bus stop.  Then we went back to the store with a trailer to purchase some cabinets and countertop.  We stayed up till 2 am to install them.  He is already back in my studio this morning to get it done.  What a nice guy!  This is really a BIG deal for me.  You have to understand that he absolutely hates to put anything on the wall except for his pride and joy fish!  My studio has very limited space for hanging anything on the wall due to the A-frame structure of the roof.  The night before my Holiday Open House I asked him to hang one picture frame on the wall.  I thought he would refuse but he did it for me too.  Thumbs up!!  This is my wonderful "new and improved" husband.  We are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in a few days!!!

Anyway I plan to post a picture of my studio make over soon.  Stay tuned!  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Reindeer Cellophane Bag Treats

This project was one of the make and take projects at my Holiday Open House last Sunday.  When I showed my first one I made (not pictured here) to my husband (so non-crafter!!!), he didn't get it.  He thought nobody would like it at all.  Then I handed him the Stocking Builder punch and explained him how I made the reindeer.  And then he understood a little bit but he still thought I was crazy to do this project at my Open House.  Anyway this was at the last minute thing that I came up with for my big event and obviously I was running out of time.  Believe or not my lovely husband gladly helped me to stuff the bags for me while I was making the samples.  He even coordinated the row of candy so that they looked pretty.  I'm not sure how many pieces ended up in the bags or into his mouth?????  I guess I will never know....haha.  By the way it was a BIG hit!

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!

Pennant Parade Christmas Card

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I had a very busy week having my Holiday Open House yesterday.  Thanks to all those ladies who came and enjoyed the time crafting/hanging out with me.  It was a HUGE success!  THANK YOU!

Here is another card I made using the Pennant Parade stamp set.  To add some shining effect to the trees and stars,  I heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I really like the results.  The Petite Pennants Builder punch makes it super easy to punch out the trees.  It even has a scalloped edge shape too.  LOVE it!

Frightful Sight Halloween Card

What a night!  Had a great night with my Tuesday Night Card Club gals.  Karen, the hostess of the night, spoiled us with the yummy goodies she made.  Let me tell you it was really good!  Thanks Karen!!!

This card was one of the two cards we made last night.  The layout of this card was actually from the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.  When I saw the sketch, I immediately knew what I wanted to do.  The hardest part of making the card was to choose which stamps from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set(a set of 24 stamps) I wanted to use for the oval frame.  It seemed the gals were having fun to pick their stamps though.

Mr. Owl stamp is from the Hostess set "Warmest of Wishes".  It's hard to see his eyes but they are very shiny.  I squeezed some Dazzling Details around his eyes to give a little touch. Love it!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Frightful Sight Dress Card

I am feeling guilty....  Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday.  I had so many project ideas in my mind and just had to work on them before losing my creative mojo.  As a result I had a productive day making 6 cards and finalizing a new "Holiday Accessory Product Share".

My monthly Card Club girls have been asking to make a dress card (see photo on the right) similar to this one that I have displayed at my studio.  In order to make as many dresses as possible with one sheet of 12" x 12" DSP (Designer Series Paper), I wanted to try a different way of making the skirt.  This way you can get 12 skirts instead of 4 dresses using the Scallop Circle die (113468).

When creating a project for workshops, I always have to think about the easiest way to make it work.  So I used the Perfect Pennants die (123126) for the skirt as well and worked great!!!  Can't wait to show them this technique.

Here is the photo of my new "Holiday Accessory Product Share".  It is a sampler of some accessories from the Holiday Mini Catalog that I am offering for $15 per set.  It comes in a storage case with 39 pieces.  Please click here to go to the "Product Share" page to see the list of the accessories.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a great week!  Mark your Holiday Open House is on Sunday, Sept. 25th!!!  Contact me today to RSVP!

I never thought I would use the Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper for Christmas projects but here it is.  I can't take a credit for this card because it's one of the Stampin' Up! Sneak Preview Samples.  They have some amazing designers!!!

Halloween Flag Scrapbook

Hi!  I had a fun night of stamping with my Scrapbooking Club girls last night.  We created this adorable "Halloween Flag Scrapbook".  I got carried away a little bit when creating this mini album for the workshop, so I kept the girls busy stamping, punching, die-cutting/embossing, inking and more.....  They seemed they were having a great time though and loved the result!

We used three stamp sets (Out on a Limb, Spooky Bingo Bits, and Delightful Dozen) for this project.  They are all my favoriete stamp sets.  If you are crazy about Halloween, the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set is a great value.  It has 24 Halloween theme stamps and they are so adorable.  The great set for any Halloween projects for your little ones.

There is a brand-new scoring tool in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The Simply Scored tool was perfect to make this scrapbook base.  It comes with a stylus and 3 place markers and features score tracks every 1/8".  The best feature is the place markers which let you quickly mark your socring points for fast, easy and flawless scoring.  I had to prepare multiple sets of this album for the workshop, so it was super easy for me to do that.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a GREAT day!

Pennant Parade Wish Big Card

I LOVE this color combination (Pool Party, Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade).  These colors are three of the five 2011-2013 In Color Collection.  When I saw the new collection, I was not excited much(don't tell Stampin' Up! I said that!!!) but now I LOVE it.  This In Color Collection is very popular and many of my monthly club members have taken advantage of my In Color Collection Product Share which is a great way to try out new products.  It's a monthly program and will go for 5 months with 5 people.  The cost is $12 per month and you will get the following items each month:
  • 1 -  Classic Stampin' Pad
  • 1 -  Stampin' Write Marker
  • 1 yard - 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon
  • 1 pack - 8 1/2" x 11" Smooth Card Stock (20 sheets, 4 each in 5 colors) one time only
The colors are Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder and Island Indigo.  Other product share programs are available.  Please visit the "Product Share" page on top of this post for details.

This card was one of make and take projects at my Open House in July.  The stamp set "Pennant Parade" is one of my favorite stamp sets in the new catalog and is very versatile.  It comes with six greeting stamps (love, wish big, hello, baby, thank you and merry).  Remember this card?  I used the same stamp set to make the ice cream cone.  The best part about this stamp set is there is a matching PUNCH - THANK YOU Stampin' Up!

Speaking of the Open House...Please join me at my Holiday Open House on Sunday, Sept. 25th to kick off the Holiday Seasons.  There will be make and takes, door prizes, food, great holiday ideas and more.  Please RSVP so that I can make your kit ready in advance.

Snow Much Fun Card

Consider this card is cased from the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog although I added some Taffeta Ribbon to show the white trimmed edges instead of strips of card stock.  I just love the stamp set and its color combination (Real Red and Old Olive).  The stamp set "Snow Much Fun" was debuted in the new catalog this July and since then I have used it for several projects.  Can you see the little birdie on top of the snowball?  Just love it!

New Product Alert!
Can you see the shiny lines on the tag? I used the new product "Dazzling Details" in the Holiday Mini Catalog and it is a "must-have" item.  This iridescent glitter glue will add dazzling sparkle to any project with LESS MESS!  The narrow tip allows for precise application.

Happy Halloween Shadow Box Card

I had a fun afternoon of stamping with the Fabulous Five ladies yesterday.  They have a private monthly stamping club with me and took the summer off.  I'm happy to see them back stamping with me!!!  They are very energetic, happy and a lot of fun to hang out!!!

We started our workshop with this fun shadow box card.  It is very easy and fun to make.  Believe or not, it becomes flat and you can put it in an envelope.  Love it!!!  The stamp in the shadow box is the Haunted Forest, one of the A la Carte stamps, in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  We simply stamped it in Whisper White Craft ink on Basic Black card stock.  Our Whisper White Craft ink is very rich and stands out on a dark card stock easily.  No heat-embossing needed.   We used the Big Shot to die cut the circle in the center of card front and then embossed with the Spider Web Embossing Folder.

I hope you like the card and try it yourself.  Please leave me a comment if you have any questions.  I've got to go now.  I have a Big Shot workshop this afternoon and get to have more fun!  Have I ever mentioned I LOVE my job?   It's the best job ever........!!!

Happy Halloween Card

Happy First Day of School!  Finally it's HERE!  I have been waiting for this day to come for such a long time.  My youngest boy starts kindergarten today.  It's only a half day but I will treasure my new free time.  Can't wait to see him come home with his big brother on the bus.  I hope he will have a great time at school.  We shall see.....

This is my very first Halloween card I made this year and I hate to admit but was not sure if I would like this new stamp set when I saw it in the new Holiday Mini Catalog.  Now I'm glad I got it and it has become one of my favorite stamp sets in the Holiday Mini.  When I made this card before embossing the stamped Whisper White square piece, it looked very flat and needed something.  Have you tried to emboss your "stamped" image before?  I really like the technique on this one.
