Petite Pocket Christmas Holder and Tags

Happy Friday!!!  I had so much fun at my Big Shot workshop last night.  I think it was this warm cabin theme project we started the workshop thanks to Shellie Gardner, Cofounder and CEO of Stampin' UP!  She shared her project at Convention last month and I instantly LOVED it!!!

I don't remember exactly how Shellie created her holder but here is how I made mine:  I ran Crumb Cake card stock on my Big Shot using the Petite Pocket Die and folded at each score line.  I embossed the "closed" holder with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and then sponged it with Early Espresso ink in a circular motion.  Please note I used the platform with all tabs open since my holder was folded into a holder which added more layers in the embossing folder.

Meet our Mr. Welcome Bear!!!  Isn't he so cute???  When I went to my front porch to take some pictures of my projects, I realized my favorite photo station (it's actually a wooden storage box that my husband made) had been moved to a different location.  I said "oh, no!!!  But soon enough I found our Mr. Bear staring at me!!!  So I put him to work.  It's a team work, right???

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day!  It's a Big Shot Night!!!!

Monster Munchies Treat Holder

Isn't this adorable???  It's super easy and quick too.  The Monster Munchies Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalog is perfect to mass produce Halloween treats in a short time.

I used the second largest die from the Labels Collection Framelits for the holder and then ran it through my Mr. Big Shot with the Spider Web Embossing Folder.  I punched a hole to thread this gorgeous satin ribbon through the hole and tied a knot to close the holder.  I also used the Silver Glimmer Paper to dress up the stamped images.  I LOVE our Glimmer Paper!  No more messy way to add glitter accents!!!

Take Care Card

This is one of the projects we made at this month's Ink Pad Club.  When I received my Annual Book back in May on the Disneyworld incentive trip, I spotted a similar card in the book.  Unfortunately I couldn't buy the stamp set till the annual book was officially released in June.  It was a LONG wait but was worth it......LOVE the stamp set!!!

Here is another one with embossed background.   We built a paper nest with thin strips of card stock.  Isn't it cool?

Surprise Gift from Jill

Happy Monday!  I'd like to share a surprise gift I received in the mail from Jill Olsen, my Mega Upline from Utah last week along with her note.....

I LOVE her sense of humor so I've got to share it with you!!!  Well, Just in case you didn't get it, Stampin' Up! has introduced this new "Sanding System" in the Holiday Catalog.  It's a sanding block with replaceable sandpaper with 2 grits-fine and very fine (shown in the photo above).

Here is a close-up photo of her gorgeous card using the new Core'dinations Card Stock and the Sanding Block.   Isn't that amazing you can create an antiqued, distressed, color-popping look by just using some inexpensive tools and materials?   I LOVE the butterfly punched out of the new Champagne Glimmer Paper.
Here is a photo of Jill with my team Jennifer and Karen at Convention.  I think it was our third day at Convention when we finally found Jill.  We didn't know we were taking the same class and she was sitting right behind us!!!  I LOVE meeting Jill at Stampin' Up! event and actually I always try to find her to say hello.  I really appreciate her dedications and efforts to congratulate her downlines for their achievements.  Did you know she has the largest group in the U.S. with over 4,000 demonstrators under her?  THANK YOU, JILL for the gift!!!!!  I really appreciate YOU!!!
Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a great day!!!

The Great Outdoors Scrapbook Pages

Happy Friday!  This is one of the 2-page layout we did in my Scrapbook Club this month and also is the first project that we started using the new 12" x 12" Divided Page Protectors.  If you are not familiar with this new product, see page 169 in the Annual Catalog.

Here is the second page with a journal book using the Natural Composition Specialty Paper.

I learned this journal book technique at Convention.  The back cover is inserted into the page protector but the front cover and the inside pages are not.  The last page is adhered to the page protector with Sticky Strip.  A piece of Linen Thread is hanging out and that's how you close the journal book.

Since it is a journal book we stamped the inside pages with the Travel Journal Builder Wheel.

Here are some close-up photos of the stamped elements to show you:

I LOVE this Morning Post Alphabet Stamp Set!!!  It's perfect for a title of any scrapbook page.

I LOVE this bug in a jar!!!  Mr. Bug is heat-embossed in Black to give a little more touch.
Here is a photo taken from my studio yesterday.  Can you guess what we did????  We hosted a paintball party for our church's youth group.  I think we had over 20 boys and GIRLS who were brave enough to take painful shots!!!  They seemed they were having a lot of fun.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Hope you will have a wonderful weekend!!!

I was inspired to create this page by a similar scrapbook in the Annual Book (see page 32).  I actually found the original at Convention on one of the display boards and liked it even more.  I think it's the color scheme used on the page.

Perfectly Preserved Cherry Card & Hybrid Recipe

Hi there!  Here is another card from my Open House.  It looks like an ordinary card but wait till you see the inside of the card.......

I created the inside of the card using the My Digital Studio (MDS) to include a recipe which was given to me by my dear friend sometime ago.  I get many requests every time I serve this dessert at my event.  In fact at this Open House I did too so that my guests could try some and take the recipe with them.

This is actually one of the new downloads called "Orchard Harvest Swatchbook Digital Template"  from the Holiday Catalog.   I really had fun creating this.

Here is the recipe just in case you can't see it well:

Pink Cherry Salad
  • 1 large Kool Whip
  • 1 can Eaglebrand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can Wilderness Cherry pie filling
  • 1 can chunky or tidbit pineapple
  • walnuts (optional)
  • marshmallows (optional)

Use Kool Whip thawed.  Add milk, cherries and drained pineapple.  Mix together in large bowl.  Add walnuts and marshmallows here.  Cool in fridge.  Serve with a piece of pound cake or angel food cake.  ENJOY!!!

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a great day!
