Watercolor Wings Multicolored Embossed Cards - July Card Club

Today's project is another card from my Card Club workshops we are making this month featuring the Watercolor Wings Stamp Set.  I created two designs for the members to choose from at the workshops.  Having two different designs is a great way to show more possibilities using the same stamp set.  The hard part is to decide which one to make!  I'm not sure which one I like better:)

Both cards are slightly different:
  • Single Butterfly Card has a "raised" embossed background and the greeting is "thanks" with a banner image from the Endless Thanks Stamp Set.
  • Three Butterfly Card has a "recessed" embossed background and the greeting is "for you" from the Endless Thanks Stamp Set.

I love this color combo - Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Lost Lagoon and Tip Top Taupe

Rock Star Card & 2015-2016 DSP Swatch Books

Happy Friday!!!  Here is a bright and fun card I made for some of my downline members for their remarkable achievement and dedication to their Stampin' Up! business during the last year which ended last month.  Congratulations!!!

To make this card I used two stamp sets - the Be the Star and the Bravo Stamp Sets.  To make the greetings and star designs more visible, I heat-embossed the images with the White Emboss Powder.  The background paper is the new Color Me Irresistible Specialty DSP.  The paper itself has a shiny embossed look but you can also heat-emboss on the surface and it still comes out perfect!!!  What a fun paper!!!

Along with the card they received a set of my 2015-2016 DSP Swatch Books (posting soon) as a thank-you gift from me.

Tree Builder Punch Baby Card & Winner of June Free Stamp Set

Here is one of the projects we are making at my Card Club workshops this month.  Isn't this so adorable?  I found a card made by Patsy Waggoner while browsing Pinterest.  I remember Patsy from my very first incentive trip to Disneyworld.  We were both in line for one of the events there and I enjoyed talking with her.  She is a fabulous demonstrator.  Thank you Patsy!

Here is a close-up photo of the punch art.  Isn't it so clever?  Here is a list of tools and materials that I used:

  • Cloud - Tree Builder Punch (Cherry on Top DSP)
  • Baby's face - 3/4" Circle Punch (Pink Pirouette card stock)
  • Baby's feet - Rain drop shape from the Tree Builder Punch (Pink Pirouette card stock)
Paper Measurements

Pretty Petals Butterfly Mint Box Scrapbook & NEW Weekly Deals

I'm excited to share this adorable mint box scrapbook we made at my Scrapbook Club this month.  This project was featured in the July/August Stampin' Success Magazine which is one of many great perks we get as a Stampin' UP! demonstrator.

I've always thought about ways to recycle metal mint tins and finally found a great project to try when I saw the article in the magazine.  So clever!!

This altered metal mint box packs a mini scrapbook inside.  We used the Butterfly Basics and Feel Goods Stamp Sets to decorate the tin and scrapbook in addition to punches, dies and cool Stampin' Up! embellishments.  So pretty!!!

New Catalog Open House Share - All about Sugar Fry Box

Here is a super cute treat box we made at my recent Open House.  The base was created using the Fry Box Die which is now available as a bundle with the new All about Sugar Stamp Set.

Clear blocks sold separately.

This Fry Box is a really fun die.   As you can see in this photo, you can use this die to make a cute bag and stuff it with some sweet treat!  I have even made an adorable tote which is one of my Big Shot class projects later this month.

New Catalog Open House Share - Tin of Cards & Bohemian DSP

Happy Friday everyone!  This week has been going really fast for me.  It began with our youngest son's All-Star baseball tournament last Sunday.  Although it was short lived but our family really enjoyed being part of the amazing kids, coaches and families.  We can't wait till next season!!!

So I am finally going back to my normal stamping routine, I hope.   Just to let you know though....our youngest son's football season is just around the corner:)  Our oldest son's football training has already begun....  What can I say?  Life is good!!!

Here is another make and take project from my recent New Catalog Open House.  The Tin of Cards Stamp Set actually coordinates with the new Tin of Cards Project Kit (see page 152) which is extremely popular (actually, THE most popular kit - EVER!) and unfortunately it is currently on backorder:)  Stampin' Up! is scrambling to keep up with the demand.  In fact, they have ordered a very large amount of kits and are having them air freighted as they are ready.

I LOVE this new butterfly die from the Bold Butterfly Framelits.  To die cut this particular die, I highly recommend you try my Dryer Sheets Technique to deal with these small pieces.

New Catalog Open House Share - You've Got This Card

Here is another make and take project from my recent open house featuring the new You've Got This Stamp Set and English Garden Designer Series Paper which is my favorite DSP in the new catalog.  It's gorgeous!!!

I made two sample cards using Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride.  Not sure which color I like better:)

This beautiful flower is heat-embossed with Black Emboss Powder on a piece of Shimmery White card stock.  First I just simply stamped the flower image in black ink but the flower didn't show that much on the stamped background.  So I decided to heat emboss it with Black Emboss Powder and it worked!!!  I do have one important tip for you.  Make sure that your stamped background is totally dry when you heat emboss your flower on top of it.  Otherwise, you will have extra Black Emboss Powder on your background.

Paper Measurements:
  • Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" (Mint Macaron/Mossy Meadow)
  • Layer 1 - 5 1/4" x 4" (DSP)
  • Layer 2 - 4 1/8" x 3 1/8" (Mint Macaron/Blushing Bride)
  • Layer 3 - 4" x 3" (Shimmery White)
  • Sentiment - 3/4" x 3 3/4" (Tip Top Taupe)

New Catalog Open House Share - Sprinkles of Life Card

Here is one of the make and take projects from my New Catalog Open House featuring the new Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set which is this year's exclusive set for the Ronald McDonald House® program.   Stampin' Up! is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) to bring comfort and creativity to the lives of Ronald McDonald House guests.  Each year Stampin' Up! designs an exclusive stamp set and donates $3 per each set sold to the organization.  The Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set has been really popular ever since it has debuted and I truly believe we can make a difference this year!

This stamp set is very versatile!  Don't you love it when you can punch out your stamped images with a coordinating punch?  Make sure to check out the Tree Builder Punch!
