Circle of Spring meets the Timeless Elegance DSP

Today's cards are one of the projects we made at my August Card Club workshops featuring my favorite Circle of Spring Stamp Set and the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.  I love everything about this card - nice color scheme, gorgeous Sahara Sand Lace Trim and these two tags layered together using the Tags & Labels Framelits.   The first card has a light pink color (Blushing Bride) on the flowers.  We simply applied the ink with a sponge dauber.  Easy and Quick!!!

Can you tell what color I used on this one?  It's the new Watermelon Wonder with a coordinating Lace Trim.  There was a space on the top right corner so I stamped "thank you" directly on the patterned paper.  I think it balanced out nicely with the big flower on the opposite side.

How about the new Mint Macaron?  Absolutely gorgeous!!!

Paper Measurements:
  • Sahara Sand card stock (card base) - 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
  • Basic Black card stock (layer) - 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Timeless Elegance DSP (flowers) - 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
  • Timeless Elegance DSP (strip) - 4" x 1 1/4"

By the Tide Shaker Card & August Big Shot Classes

Happy Monday!  It's another beautiful day here in the Pacific Northwest!  I attempted to take a photo of my Big Shot class projects this morning.  However, it's too bright out there (although I'm loving this weather!) for photos so I took this picture using my new photo booth that my husband built for me last week.  I'm still in need of a few things to complete the setting but so far I LOVE it!!!  I'm hoping this will eliminate hours of editing to get the right brightness and etc.  Also I am able to take photos any time I want instead of waiting till a good day with great outdoor lighting.
Did you know you can die cut different materials other than card stock on your Big Shot?  In my August Big Shot class I will show you how to make a shaker card using the By the Tide Stamp Set.  Stampin' UP! has discontinued to carry the Shaker Frames (dimensional windows with 1/8" foam frames) but I will show you how to make your own with easy to find craft materials.  With this technique you can make shaker frames in any shape you want!
In addition to the Shaker Card we will be making this pretty wreath card and a muslin bag.

Birthday Blossoms Thank You Card & Winner of July Free Stamp Set

Happy Monday!  What a beautiful day here in the Pacific Northwest!  It's not a perfect time to take a picture of a card (it's actually too bright to get the right brightness) but I'm absolutely loving this weather!!!

Here is one of the thank you cards I made over the weekend.  I was working on another card using the Striped Scallop Thinlits and decided to use a portion of the die-cut on this card as a border.  The Striped Scallop Thinlits Die is very versatile.  Click HERE to see how I made three cards using only one die-cut of this die.

I can't seem to put away the Birthday Blossoms Stamp Set just yet - I'm having too much fun:)  The flower and leaves are heat embossed with the Black Emboss Powder and then watercolored with a Blender Pen.  So pretty!!!

Circle of Spring Thank You Card

Happy Monday everyone!  I have a simple and elegant card to share with you today.  The Circle of Spring Stamp Set was one of "must-have" stamps on my wish list as soon as I saw the new catalog and finally I got to try it out.

The wreath and bow images are stamped and embossed with the Gold Emboss Powder, and then colored with a Blender Pen in Watermelon Wonder, Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry.  I was hoping this photo would show the gorgeous gold embossed look but I don't think it did:)
