Friends & Flowers Fish Card - Window Sheet

Hello Stampers!  Here is a fun and unique birthday card we made at my Card Club workshops this month featuring the Friends & Flowers Stamp Set and Balloon Celebration Stamp Set.

There is a piece of Window Sheet adhered to the middle of the card front and the fish is actually adhered to the inside of the card.

We embossed a piece of Pool Party to get the bubbles in the background using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.
Before adhering a Window Sheet, we stamped the balloon string image in StazOn ink.  We ran a strip of 1/4" Tear & Tape Adhesive on the bottom of the flap part just below the clouds and secured the top edge of the Window Sheet.  Using the 1/4" Tear & Tape Adhesive will give you a guide for exact placement of your Window Sheet piece.  This is how I designed my card.

To place the bottom of your Window Sheet run a strip of 1/4" Tear & Tape Adhesive on the bottom of your card front (1 1/4" x 4") and remove the protective backing piece.  Bring your card base and place your bottom piece (1 1/4" x 4") on your card base matching the bottom edge.  Carefully close your card to adhere the bottom piece of your card front and the Window Sheet piece.

Friends & Flowers Easter Bunny - Mini Tic Tac Holder

Happy Easter everyone!  I am excited to share this adorable Easter Bunny "Mini" Tic Tac Holder we made at my Card Club workshops this month featuring the Friends & Flowers Stamp Set and the Festive Flowers Builder Punch in the Occasions Catalog.  This project was so popular among my Card Club ladies!  Isn't he so cute???

So you might be wondering about the "Mini" Tic Tacs.  My family goes to Whistler in Canada twice a year for our winter vacation and my 10 year-old son spotted this huge Tic Tac container on a shelf at a duty free store when we were coming home.  I knew I "had to" create something with these cute Tic Tacs!

There is a small holder adhered to the back of the bunny to hold a mini Tic Tac container.

To make it pretty, I adhered a strip of the Birthday Bouquet DSP to the holder (Crumb Cake card stock).  It's really cute and fun to make!!!

Easter Lamb Suspension Card

Hello Stampers!  Here is an adorable Easter Lamb Suspension Card we made at my Card Club workshops.  Isn't it so cute?

Let's take a closer look at Mr. Lamb.  He is stamped using the Archival Basic Black Ink on a piece of Watercolor Paper.  Then I watercolored him using an Aqua Painter and Soft Sky and Old Olive Ink Pads.  I also colored his cheeks and ears with Blushing Bride Marker and then added a shimmery glitter effect to his head and body with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  I used the #6 Circle die to cut the paper.

I made an opening using the Circle Frameltis on the card front and also the layered card stock/patterned DSP piece to make it as a suspension card.  I found this tutorial on Splitcoasterstampers and created my card for my workshops.

Here is a photo of my Circle Framelits.  I marked each circle with a number (1 being the smallest and 10 being the largest).  This makes it easy to explain what size to use in my workshops.

Before making an opening, adhere a patterned piece to a card stock layer (Pool Party card stock) and then place the piece on the Magnetic Platform with the Circle dies #6 and #7.

The circle piece on the right will be used later to be adhered on the back of Mr. Lamb.  For now you can set it aside.  Using your layered patterned piece as a guide, trace the circle opening on the front of your card base (Crumb Cake card stock used) and then die cut your card base with the #7 Circle die.  Set this aside.

If you are using the Stampin' Up! Grid Paper, having the wrong side facing up place your layered piece between 6" and 10" on the bottom of your Grid Paper.  This way it's easy to see where your center line is.  Take a piece of Silver Metallic Thread and secure it with Sticky Strip or Tear and Tape Adhesive at the center line (8") as shown above.  Do not remove the protective backing of the tape.

Then flip your piece and place it on your Silicone Craft Sheet so that the adhesive will not stick to your Grid Paper.  Apply some pieces of Sticky Strip or Tear and Tape Adhesive on the back of your Easter Lamb and then carefully place it in the opening making sure your Silver Metallic Thread is adhered straight on the back of your Easter Lamb piece.

Carefully lift your Easter Lamb piece and then flip it so that the back of your Easter Lamb piece (not your layered patterned piece) is facing up.  Now you can adhere your #6 die-cut to your Easter Lamb piece.

To make the opening a little nicer I die cut a piece of Blushing Bride card stock with the #7 and #8 Circle Framelits and then adhered the ring piece to the opening.

To embellish my card I adhered a scalloped border die-cut using the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and the Scallop Border die from the Cutie Pie Thinlits on the top.  I also added a piece of Venetian Crochet Trim and a bow with Very Vanilla Baker's Twine

Now this piece is ready to be adhered on the card front of your card base with some Dimensionals!!!

Here are the paper measurements:
  • Crumb Cake - 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" (card base)
  • Pool Party (or Mint Macaron)Layer -  4" x 5 1/4"
  • Patterned DSP - 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
  • Brushing Bride - 4" x 4" (ring die-cut)
  • Watercolor Paper - 3"x 3"
  • Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper - 3 7/8" x 1/2"
  • Whisper White - 3 3/4" x 5" (card inside)

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend!!!

Friends & Flowers Easter Mini Scrapbook

Happy Monday!!!  Here is an adorable Easter Mini Scrapbook we made at my Scrapbook Club workshop earlier this month.  We made this cute bunny using the Friends & Flowers Stamp Set and the Festive Flower Builder Punch.  This stamp set is amazing!  You can create fish, flowers, animals and etc.  Endless possibilities!!!

To create a pretty background on the cover I stamped images from the Flowering Fields Stamp Set and colored them with some inks and a Blender Pen.  Easy and quick!!!

There are a lot of spaces with two pull-tags and one side-tag in this mini book.  There are more tags that just slip in the bottom flap too.

How about these pretty colors?  I picked Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Old Olive from the Wildflower Fields DSP which is one of the Sale-A-Bration products this year.  There are only a few weeks left to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration promotion.

Have you seen the new Blossom Bunch Punch in the Occasions Catalog?  The flowers you see on the right page are stamped using the Grateful Bunch Stamp Set and then punched with the Blossom Bunch Punch.  I added some Candy Dots and Pearls to decorate the flowers.

The tags are die cut using the second largest die of the Lots of Labels Framelits.  I only die cut the top part of the tag so that the bottom of the tag has a straight edge.

Here is the last page of my scrapbook.  I had so much fun creating this scrapbook!  The base of the scrapbook is made with a piece of 12" x 12" Kraft Cardstock (133674) which is heavier than our regular cardstock and perfect for a base like this.  Hope you like it!!!
