Gathered Leaves Happy Thanksgiving Card - October Stamps & Treats Class

Hello Stampers!  Here is a beautiful fall card we will be making at my Stamps & Treats Class this month.  I'm loving this color combination - Cajun Craze and Merry Merlot!  So pretty!!!

These leaves are cut out using the Gathered Leaves Dies.  Did you know you can add subtle detail to your die cuts by spritzing your cardstock with water before cutting?  This results in a tone-on-tone color and creates a deeper imprint.  It's so cool!

How about this idea of die cutting your card front using the leaf dies and adhere a piece of designer series paper in the back so that you can see pretty patterned paper through the die cuts?  So clever!  And the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper used to make this card was a perfect choice for that!  This designer series paper is amazing!  It's packed with awesome patterns in beautiful colors.  It's so versatile and you can use it for any occasion.

Monster Bash Halloween Floating Frame Card - September Card Club

Hello everyone!  I have a set of fun cards to share with you today.  By now you've probably seen cards online using this unique floating frame technique.  Well, it had been on my "things-to-try" list for a long time and finally I tried it!!! I absolutely had so much fun creating my cards.  I wanted to share this technique with my monthly card club members and thought the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper would be perfect!  Here they are!

Isn't this so cute?  Just in case if you don't know...using the Floating Frame technique you can actually make 2 cards.  Here is my first one using the outer frame die-cut.  I chose Basic Black card stock for my card base for my first card.  There is not so much else to finish besides making your floating frame.  To finish my card I die cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock with one of the Ornate Frames Dies and stamped a sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set.  These two products are available as a bundle (SAVE 10%).  The Monster Bash Enamel Shapes are "must-have" in my opinion!!!

Here is my second card.  I added a black outer frame to the inner frame die-cut to embellish my card. The sentiment and die cut are from the same bundle (Spooktacular Bash Bundle).  I also added a spider die-cut from the Wicked Die Set.

These cards are my sample cards for the club workshops.  I used two different die-cuts from the Stitched Rectangles Die Set in order to make the class flow better.  Now you can see the difference - the one on the right has more black space compared to the card on the left.

Now this picture of my second cards shows you two different sizes for the outer frame.  It depends which look you prefer.

Tasteful Textures Happy Petals Card - August Stamps & Treats Class

Hello Stampers!  Here is one of the projects we will be making at my Stamps & Treats Class this month using the Tasteful Textures Bundle (Tasteful Textures Stamp Set and Tasteful Backgrounds Dies).  This card offers two great techniques and is featured in the Stampin' Success Magazine by Stampin' Up!  I knew I had to try it when I saw it for the first time!

I love how these colorful petals turned out!   In my class I will show you a trick that you can easily change the color of the petals instead of having all in one color.  It was actually fun to change up the different colors!

Another technique is something you all need to know in order to stretch your investments in your dies!  I will show you how to change the size of your die-cutting piece by simply repositioning your die.  You can use this technique with other dies!  In my class we will be using the new Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  It's really cool!

Over the Moon Triangle Pop-Up Card Trio - July Card Club

Hello everyone!  Here is one of the projects we did at my Card Clubs this month featuring the Over the Moon Stamp Set.  Aren't these cards so cute?  Ever since one of my downline members shared a photo of a similar card with our team, I knew I had to make one.

I had so much fun designing this card!  All the cows are colored with Stampin' Blends.  The triangle sections of the cards are stamped using the two small solid patterned stamps in Memento Black.  I placed both of stamps on a clear-mount block for quick stamping.

For the background I wanted to make a flower field, so I used the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set for the grass and flower images with 2-step stamping.   I also used the new Above the Clouds Stamp Set for the clouds.  Make sure to use a Stampin' Pierce Mat (126199) for better impressions.  As you can see, this card can be flat so that you can put it in a Stampin' Up! Medium Size Envelope.

Here is how I made the card base:

  1. Start with a 8" x 8" Whisper White Card Stock, score at 4" and then turn your paper and score at 4" again.
  2. Cut the bottom half section at 4" up to the center of the card base where the two score lines meet.
  3. For the top triangle sections score between score lines from the left to the top and then the right to the top.
  4. Fold your card stock as shown below.

The Abstract Impressions Stamp Set coordinates with the Springtime Impressions Dies so the pretty floral die-cut you see under the pop-up section is from the die set.  I just used a 4" x 4" Rococo Rose Card Stock to die cut the corner section of the die.  After die cutting, I trimmed off an extra portion with my Paper Snips.

It's fairly easy to make a pop-up.  Starting with a piece of 3" x 6" card stock (Pear Pizzazz used here), score at 3" and fold in half.  Place one of the Layering Scallop Circles on the folded card stock exposing 3 scallop circles on fold (so that this section will not be cut) and run it through your die cut machine.  Now fold the top circle in half (valley fold) matching the scallops.  Die cut a 3" x 3" card stock with the same Layering Scallop Circles.  Adhere the back of this piece to the valley hold half circle (outer circle) with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755).  Use Dimensionals to adhere this to your card as shown.  Tip:  Make sure to use Dimensionals to adhere your sentiment piece so that that your cow sections will stand as shown.

I hope you can find my instructions helpful.  Since I've received many requests for this card, I'm planning on offering another class so stay tuned!  Make sure to let me know if you are interested!
