Hey, Chick Card Trio

Here is a trio of cute cards we made at my Card Club workshops last month featuring the Hey, Chick Stamp Set.  This stamp set is so adorable and I believe it is the most popular product in this year’s Sale-A-Bration Brochure!!!

I love this cool technique to create a “chicken wire” effect using the new Hexagons Dynamic Embossing Folder.  I used a brayer to apply some ink from Archival Basic Gray Ink Pad onto the inside of the embossing folder making sure to ink the side that has the Stampin’ UP! logo.  I let the brayer roll on my ink pad to get enough ink and then placed a 4″ x 5-1/4″ card stock on the opposite side of the embossing folder.  This way it will not mess up when closing the embossing folder.  Then I ran it through my Big Shot.

To color this handsome chicken I used new Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen.  It’s really easy to blend colors with these new Watercolor Pencils.
