Here is an adorable Mini Scrapbook we made at my Scrapbook Club this month. Can you guess what we used to create this cute opening? It’s the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch which is one of the new Tag Topper Punches in the Occasions Catalog. I wanted to use the punch for something else rather than 2″ wide tags that you can create quickly so I came up with a simple and quick mini scrapbook.
There are 4 pocket pages inside and each pocket has a tag made using the Angled Tag Topper Punch to give you more space.
We stamped each tag with the Petal Parade Stamp Set from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog. Aren’t they pretty?
We had fun embellishing the pocket pages with those colorful Baker’s Twine and printed Cork embellishments from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog too.
Instructions
I promised with my Scrapbook Cub gals that I’d provide the measurements and instructions. Here you go! Enjoy!!!
Scrapbook Base
- 4″ x 12″ (Crumb Cake Textured card stock used)
- Score at 4-1/2″, 4-7/8″, 5-1/4″, 5-5/8″, 6″, 6-3/8″, 6-3/4″, 7-1/8″ and 7-1/2″
After cutting and scoring your base, using a pencil mark at 2″ (center) on both of the 4″ sides and carefully insert it into the punch as shown above.
Flip over the punch and align your 2″ mark with the middle scallop of the punch as shown and then punch it out. Repeat this for the other side.
You will need to trim off the bottom and top sections. To do this, place your card stock on your Paper Trimmer aligning at 7/8″ and carefully trim them off.
Album Binding
Outside – Apply a strip of Sticky Strip in between the following scorelines (4 sections):
- First – 4-1/2″ and 4-7/8″
- Second – 5-1/4″ and 5-5/8′
- Third – 6″ and 6-3/8″
- Fourth – 6-3/4″ and 7-1/8″
Inside – Apply a strip of Sticky Strip in between each scoreline.
Album Binding Assembly
Outside – Carefully remove the backing of your Sticky Strip and adhere to the next 3/8″ scored section creating a binding tab for your page. Repeat this three more times. To make it more decorative, we covered the outside of album binding with the Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape.
Inside – To secure your pocket page remove one strip at each section and adhere to the inside of your pocket. Make sure to apply a strip of Sticky Strip on the bottom half of your pocket inside before repeating the other side to secure your pocket page.
Pocket Pages (4)
- 4″ x 7″ (Crumb Cake card stock)
- Score at 3-1/2″ on the 7″ side
- 3/4″ x 7″ (Sweet Sorbet DSP – 4 pieces)
Using the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch, punch the opening for the pocket opening as shown above.
